Gyokuro Cha Musume Series

Sometimes you just need to slow down and take a fresh look at the world around you. I did a lot of that this week. Nio Tea’s Gyokuro Cha Musume was a thoughtful tea that inspired me to stop and smell the roses or in this case the poppies. Spring comes early to the desert and with all the rain we’ve had it looks like its going to be a colorful one.

I tried to perfect a few new layering techniques in this series. While I’m not quite there yet, I think I managed to do some decent work even if it is a bit repetative.
