Exploring new teas from all over the world is exciting and fun. Waiting for them to arrive in the mail – not so much. For that reason I’ve made it part of my mission here at Tea Gong-Go to not only introduce you to rare teas you may never have heard of but also introduce you to vendors that can keep you stocked with quality tea in just a few days rather than the weeks it can take to get something from Asia.

Golden Moon Tea’s has become such a vendor for me.

I recently finished a sample and immediately reordered Tie Guan Yin. I’ve also added it to my keep in stock list. Not that I don’t always have a bunch of tea samples around, but sometimes I just want a cup of tea and don’t have the time to record a special sample for my blog.

The exceptional orchid and rose notes, reasonable pricing, and fast availability of this oolong are worth keeping in your cupboard for everyday use. I wasn’t that impressed with the dry nose as I was the flavor.  It smelled a bit medicinal to me and I have to wonder if the tin its packed in may be the cause. Regardless, it tastes nothing like it smells. The first three infusions were the best and the reason for the everyday rating with only five recommended infusions.
